Heart is one of the most important organ in the body. it is a holomuscular organ of size 12 x 9 cm (Adult) located inside chest wall. mainly to left side.
Human heart has four chambers. It includes left and right atrium and right and left ventricle. Left atrium is connected to left ventricle. via a valve called 'mitral valve' and right atrium connected to right ventricle via Tricuspid valve.

The heart is, in the simplest terms, a pump made up of muscle tissue. Like all pumps, the heart requires a source of energy in order to function. The heart's pumping energy comes from a built-in, electrical, conduction system

The heart's role is to pump oxygen-rich blood to every cell in the body. The blood vessels — a network of interconnecting arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules, and veins — provide the pathway in which blood travels.

Heart valve disease occurs when the heart valves do not work the way they should. Your heart valves lie at the exit of each of your four heart chambers and maintain one-way blood flow through your heart.
